The Société des Automobiles Alpine SAS, commonly shortened to Alpine, is a French automotive manufacturer of racing and sports cars, founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé.
The company has always run closely in association with Renault which eventually led to Alpine being bought by Renault in 1973.
The Alpine competition department merged with Renault Sport in 1976. Production of Alpine cars, unfortunately, ceased in 1995.
However, the Alpine brand was relaunched in 2017 with the introduction of the all-new Alpine A110.
The Alpine A110 is very similar in the market to the Audi TT and Porsche Cayman. But at 25% less weight this Alpine also gives off similar characteristics to that of a Lotus car.
