Vehicle information

The Aston Martin DB6 was unveiled at the 1965 London Motor Show, and was notable for being the first model produced following the company's factory relocation from Feltham to Newport Pagnell. The DB6 was a 2+2 Coupé grand tourer that succeeded the DB5, featuring both aerodynamic and engineering improvements over its predecessor. The model ran from September 1965 to January 1971, with less than 1,800 examples being produced during this time. The DB6 featured a 3995cc twin-overhead camshaft straight-six engine that produced over 280bhp at 5,500rpm in standard specification, enough to accelerate the car to 60mph in 8 seconds and on to a top speed of 150mph! Although the DB6 weighed around 7 kilos more than its predecessor, it was actually more practical than a DB5 and more stable at high speeds thanks to its longer wheelbase, more-raked windscreen, and distinctive rear Kamm Tail spoiler. The example we are delighted to offer was first registered in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1966 before
