This time we are going to be reviewing the Mercedes-Benz C Class C63 AMG Coupe.
The C-Class has led the way for the joint partnership between Mercedes and AMG.
The C-Class has traditionally been one of Mercedes’ best-performing models in reliability and customer satisfaction surveys. In the world of high-performance cars, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S is one of the best on sale in any class. The AMG is well known for its impressive straight-line speed. Mercedes has underlined this by removing the standard version and now only offering the more powerful S model.
All current C63 S versions are powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 510bhp, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox.
The standard coupe is significantly impressive. The power and dynamics of the Mercedes manufacturing are encased in the beautiful coupe shell which offers a classy exterior.
As well as the standard version, Mercedes offers the C63 S Premium Plus, which has enhanced equipment levels. These include a panoramic electric sunroof, a Burmester sound system and a 360-degree parking camera.
There are not many cars that can match the sheer muscle and power of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S for driving thrills. With a booming V8 soundtrack, scorching performance and smooth handling it is a car that will excite the racer in you. Whilst the top speed may be electronically limited to 180mph, this is still extremely impressive.
The pricing for the range is pretty straightforward, starting at around £77,000 for the saloon, while the estate version cost an extra £1,000. The coupe is £2,000 more than the saloon. The most expensive model (before options) is the cabriolet, which is around £4,000 more than the coupe.
However, if you don’t have the budget for new you can often find amazing used models.
