The Aston Martin DBX is Aston's first-ever foray into the highly popular SUV sector. A huge sector that has all but obliterated the high-end luxury car market for cars such as the BMW 7 series and the larger Mercedes and Jaguars, most manufacturers have a presence in this market sector. But recently the likes of Porsche and even Lamborghini have entered this market, the Lamborghini Urus to huge success. The Aston Martin DBX is as of yet not released so there are minimal details about the final specification. However, it is obvious that styling clues come from the Aston Martin DB11 and it is anticipated that the interior will certainly be an opulent place to be, with ample leather and logos.
The Aston DBX Price new will be £158,000 which is almost £20,000 more than the Bentley Bentayga V8 - that's certainly a statement of intent from Aston Martin. It is, however almost £100,000 less than the 'etch a sketch' designed Rolls Royce Cullinan. Official pictures just released of the interior only, and wow, does it look good.
Based on its own platform has allowed design boss Marek Reichmann to do as he pleased with the interior of the new Aston Martin DBX. TFT screens up front, panoramic sunroof with big side windows and lots of space in front and in the back.
How Fast is the New Aston Martin DBX?
How fast? Well the DBX will be using the AMG 4.0 V8 twin-turbo that generates 542bhp, more than the V8 Vantage and DB11. It is promised to have better-stopping power than the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and will lap the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes. That's about all we can say for now, but this first SUV from Aston Martin is looking incredibly exciting, as it needs to be for the future of Aston Martin.

Aston Martin DBX - Update
So the DBX has officially been launched and the reviews are good so far. Dubbed as the car that will save Aston Martin, it is entering an already crowded area but has sufficient unique features that are already making it stand out.
The body is unique to Aston Martin, not a shared platform like many others, which means that Aston Martin has had a completely clean sheet of paper from which to design the DBX. The 4x4 SUV is powered by a 542bhp 4.0l turbocharged V8 from AMG and has been in development since 2015. Target is 4,000 units a year which will significantly impact on Aston's bottom line and hopefully share price also.
